iPad App Helps Math Scores
Computers have been in classrooms for an extremely long time now and for decades students have been attending classrooms where computers have been in use either as the point of the class or as an addition to a particular subject such as math. And this inclusion of such technology has not been without controversy as some people wonder just how much technology should be introduced to students in the classroom and at what age such technology would be appropriate. This controversy has not stopped any iPad app developer from creating an application that is meant for use in schools by grammar school age children.
One company has already suggested that adding such applications to the classroom setting has actually increased the ability of students to learn in a classroom setting and one school is even suggesting that the scores of their students have increased recently due to the introduction of various programs designed to be used on tablet computers by the students which are employed in conjunction with learning solely through textbooks.
Statistics cited by the school suggest that by using a variety of different learning tools including traditional books and tablet computers with educational programs on them, students are able to experience a high level of learning and actually find that utilizing multiple styles of learning within a single classroom subject will allow higher rates of information and learning retention than the use of textbooks alone. Some educational textbook suppliers are starting to partner with various application developers to create more comprehensive learning programs.
